I have been riding motorcycles since 1987. My first bike was a 1973 Honda 350. Since then I have ridden a variety of bikes. I have logged close to 100,000 miles commuting, sport riding and cruising around. My track time began in 2003 on a 1993 CBR900RR. So, from North Texas to Western North Carolina and multiple tracks in between, I have had some great times, on great bikes, with my best friends. A little about myself. Professionally, I have worked in aviation since 1996. I spent most of that time with Southwest Airlines in Dallas. I now work for Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, GA. My career has afforded me some great opportunities and allowed me to travel. I have had and continue to pursue my own businesses. I opened 2WheelTurnz in 2005. It was a small start up motorcycle accessory shop. I have owned a variety of bikes. Only one of which I regret and there are several I wish I never sold, specifically the 1993 CBR900RR. I would love to get another and restore it. It was also the first bike I had on the track. I have come across some outstanding people because of my passion for motorcycles. Interestingly, most are either law enforcement officers or in the military. I grew up in Bryson City, NC. Approximately 40 minutes from Deals Gap. Back then you would see the occasional VFR Interceptor or GPz550. Yep, old school. My Mom and I used to drive it to get to Knoxville. Once I got on the track my street miles dropped dramatically. Still, I do the street/track conversion and get up to my parents' house to do some good mountain roads. Every year (sort of) the Sheepdog Racing crew does an annual D'Gap pilgrimage. Actually we may ride the Gap a few times, but you would be blown away by the amount of "other" good roads there are. I will keep the specifics to myself as I fear the squids will ruin our enjoyment.
